Ronney S Miami , FL February 09, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Atlantis Washer MAV6548AWW Washer didn't spin during spin cycle I had removed three screws behind the control board cover of the washer, to access the old lid switch. I checked the continuety of the of the switch with a multimeter and it obviously failed the the test by displaying infinity of <1, rather than being 0. I removed the old switch with a flathead screw driver, I tested the new one and installed it in no time. Problem solved!!! Replaced the thrust bearing kit due to wear, and cleaned the timer module with electronic contact cleaner. Not sure if the bearing kit had any impact on the spin cycle engaging, but the original parts were very worn and the unit is much quieter. Also replaced the drive belt. Read More... Put a new snubber ring on, the old one was in terrible condition, and put new suspension springs around it. It runs like a new washing machine. The video's help.
