This is a micro switch used in the microwave door interlock system. It detects whether the door is properly closed and signals the control board to allow or prevent microwave operation. Replace this switch if the microwave won't start, runs with the door open, or if the door latch clicks but the unit doesn't respond.
One of the three-door switches had failed. In my case, 00631512 or ref 25217585 on the left front of the unit. The green button no longer "clicked". When that switch fails, one of the ceramic fuses located under the top cover at the far back of the unit is blown. Used Volt-Ohm meter to determine which fuse. Happy to have also ordered a replacement door switch Support, just in case, as I was unable to remove the failed switch from the support without breaking a key brittle plastic tab.... Read more

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.
Knowing the odds of 2 failures occurring at the same exact time was unusually high, I just searched your site for what other broken items might affect these two failures. Came up with next control item upstream and tallied that item failure with percentages of successful repairs, (4 mins.) door safety switch. Since I had to change out the most likely of the 3 and since I was already was going to be into the switch panel I ordered all 3 and swapped them all out to cover my butt, as they were... Read more

This is a charcoal filter used in over-the-range microwaves to remove smoke, odors, and grease from the air when the unit is set to recirculate rather than vent outside. The filter sits behind the vent grille and traps airborne particles as air passes through. Replace it if you notice lingering cooking odors, reduced airflow from the vent, or visible grease buildup on the filter - typically every 6 to 12 months depending on cooking frequency.

This is a high voltage capacitor used in the microwave's magnetron circuit to store and release electrical energy needed to power the magnetron tube. It works together with the diode and transformer to generate the high voltage required for microwave cooking. Replace this capacitor if the microwave runs but does not heat food, makes a loud buzzing or humming noise, or if diagnostic testing shows the capacitor has failed. Warning - capacitors can retain a lethal charge even when the appliance is unplugged, so discharge it safely before handling.
Microwave won't heat? A failing high-voltage capacitor disrupts the heating circuit. This part stores electrical energy for consistent operation.
Usually ships within 4 - 14 days
If your microwave turntable won't rotate or makes grinding noises, the motor may have failed. This replacement part typically takes 30-45 minutes to install.
Microwave not heating evenly or overheating food? This thermistor temperature sensor monitors cooking temperatures and signals the control board.
