Taking the dryer apart is typically what would scare one away from a self repair...but it was explained in detail and actually was super easy to fix. What a wonderful company!! Self fixed and saved us from having to wait for a repair man and we didn't have any repair bill....except for the part...but even that was at a very reasonable price. Cleaning the dryer with compressed air fixed the issue. Moisture Sensor Dryer Thermistor do not like a covering of Dust no electrical likes a layer of dust when its trying to sense. This condition was hard to find anything on internet which is why I'm commenting. Slow count down was due to Dual Dryer Elements and one was broken. The NO count down was due to covering of Dust all over all Sensors. Charles K Trussville , AL February 11, 2024 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG DV520AE DRYER Samsung dryer not heating up and not drying clothes. Ordered the first part by model number only of my Samsung dryer and when I took it apart it was wrong. Should have used the serial number also but didn't. Called tech support Kathy and she was very helpful. After providing the serial number I then received the correct part as scheduled on time. Watched the repair video step by step and was very useful. I am 69 years old, retired, and have a little problem getting around but the repair was somewhat easy. My biggest problem was getting the drum belt and tensioner back on, so I requested help from my son-in-law. He got it right on for me. Sure I saved a couple hundred dollars doing it myself. I would do it again.. My only problem was that it wasn't drying and I took chance it was the heating element and it was the right call. It did help using a battery operated drill with a magnetic tip to take out and put in the screws, not to drop them Also my dryer is on a pedestal and I didn't even have to move it.
