Microwave won't turn on or has no power? A blown fuse is often the cause. This safety fuse protects circuits from shorts. Requires cover removal to replace.
In addition to blown fuse; the fuse holder was melted at one end. Checked the unit to see if any part or wiring that would cause the issue, none was visible. Referred to wiring diagram included inside to identify components, including interlocks. All seemed functional. Bought replacement 20A fuse. Fuse holder no longer available so bought similar unit with 25A rating - little retrofitting. Put unit back together, and it's working so far. Wife is happy. Read more

Replaced magnatron and wire-vltg. First magnatron I ordered came in had damaged frame and tip I decided to install it any way to see if it worked, unfortunately it didn't.
