Jane P Mastic Beach , NY March 21, 2014 MY GE washer didn't agitate anymore. OMG.. I was so excited when I found a simple YOUTUBE video showing me how to fix this agitator myself.. and it was SO SIMPLE! The MEN I know, told me I would need to buy a new machine! I did a simple search for GE AGITATOR REPAIR.. found the video, then did my search for the replacement part - an agitator coupling, which, of course, I found at AppliancePartsPros.com... they shipped it to me within 2 days! And the minute it arrived, I went into my laundry room, and completed my OWN repair in about 6 minutes! SERIOUSLY!!! Total cost? $13... (I already had the ratchet and a 7/16 socket...) - - I posted my success on facebook, and got so many likes.. all from women! hahaha I AM WOMAN! HEAR ME ROAR! Or just watch me FIX things, with help from my computer! I LOVE IT! Carlos C Orlando , FL August 16, 2014 My ge washer would spin but not agitate I removed the front panel of the washer to make sure the belt was on. When I put the washing machine through the cycles I was able to see that the belt and motor work fine. I would get the spinning cycle with no problem but there would be no agitation cycle and the belt would worked with no problems. With the machine unplugged, I pulled off the agitator (which is a hard pull) and was able to grab the agitator coupler. this should not be able to spin freely. I was able to spin it freely which meant that the agitator coupler was bad. I ordered a replacement which took about 3 days to get to me. I installed the replacement agitator coupler which took about 5 minutes using an 11mm socket/ratchet to take off the old holding bolt and install the new one. This was a very easy fixed and saved me a ton of money. Read More... 84 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Socket Set

Timothy H Pottsville , AR July 19, 2015 Broken agitator Replaced the broken agitator on my GE washer & couplin. Took a flat rope placed under the old agitator and with a stern jerk it popped off. Then a 7/16 socket set with a long extension took the bolt lose, and removed the couplin. Replaced the new couplin, with the new bolt tighten. Slide the new agitator into place with a stern push it snapped in place. Works perfectly. Thank you for the fast shipping.
