Jackie S Springfield , IL July 01, 2016 Appliance: Model KITCHENAID KGRS505XWH04 3 burner knobs would not turn frozen Ordered correct replacement parts (your online form helped to identify correct valves 2 had black dot on inside stem for back small burner 1 had red dot for larger front burner). locked stove, turned off gas, unplugged cord. removed knobs, 5 screws and front plate also removed L shaped plate below knobs for better access to comp. fittings. pulled off ignitior controls loosened compression fittings (hard to get wrench on nut but doable), removed screw holding valve to manifold. reversed order for new valves. Lit burners and sprayed soap solution on all joints to check for leaks. All good. Make sure you order correct valve. There are three different valves with different BTU ratings which look identical and are interchangeable. Replacement valve is easy to install. This still did not kill AC power to the knob lock out switches. Yikes. Screw driver and a half inch wrench 15 minutes. I put silicone at live wire touchable spot. Chris C League City , TX July 04, 2016 Appliance: Model KITCHENAID KGR5505 Gas valve was broken/stuck Pulled range/stove away from wall and turned off the gas. Removed grates and knobs. Used a philips screw driver to remove panel covering valves and loosen bracket holdingthe valve in place. Used 1/2 inch wrench to disconnect gas tubing. Then replaced everything in reverse order. Super fast delivery. I ordered the valve after hours on Wednesday and out was delivered by 5:00 on Friday using standard delivery method.
