Timothy T Mckeesport , PA September 07, 2014 Frozen surface burner valve on whirlpool gemini range Watched a video on how to replace the valve and learned that you can lock the stove and disable the gas and electric to the burners to do the repair simply by holding in the Start button for 5 seconds. The rest was easy and only took less than15 minutes to complete. The part was identical to the one I replaced and works perfectly, and it came within two days of ordering it online with Appliance Parts Pros Read More... 15 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Wrench Set

Chris S Knoxville , TN April 03, 2022 Appliance: KitchenAid Gas Range KGRS505XBL01 Burner valve bad (won't turn on). This isn't the first time. I'm an old hand at it now. These valves, though expensive, go bad after a few years in that suddenly they refuse to turn on (It is fortunate that they fail in this manner - what if they wouldn't turn off?). The repair is simple, but the flange nut on the end of the valve (the pipe that goes to the burner) is difficult to get to with an open end wrench). One can take loose the supply manifold (the pipe that all the other valves are connected to) and that helps a little bit. I now have three spares (one for each type of burner (low BTU, high BTU, and griddle-in-the-middle), because another one will fail soon. Eldon A Saline , MI April 21, 2019 My left rear burner valve would not turn, it acted as if it was frozen I ordered the replacement burner valve through Appliance Parts Pros after going to the web and typing in my Appliance model. I liked their pricing and the clarity of their parts search assistance on-line. The parts arrived as promised on time. The removal of the faulty valve and the installation of the replacement valve went smoothly. Opening up the stove top also allowed us to do a thorough cleaning. Cooking grease builds up over time and I probably would not have performed this deeply if the valve had not failed. So, things worked together for good and my stove performs perfectly once again. Thank you for your customer orientation and your offer to chat and help with appliance questions. I am blessed,!
