After doing some recon online, looked like the check valve was the likely culprit. Sure enough, when I pulled the old one out (it attaches to the larger white tube coming out of RO membrane chamber) I could blow air through it both ways, indicating it was shot. I used a little plumbers tape when I installed the new check valve into the membrane chamber.
