Fan motor was making squeaking sounds and then quit. Had previously (about 2 years ago) replaced the thermostat. Ordered new fan motor & replaced. Note: it was difficult to get motor out because of fan blades. Did not know that it just slides off. Easy to replace - just two nuts holding motor to bracket. Had to reroute one wire because spade lugs on new motor are 90 degrees rotated from original. Once I got new motor passed brackets slid the fan blade on - there is a flat spot on the shaft...
