Pretty easy job for a DIYer. The control panel gets loose when the plastic tabs break for one reason or the other. You can replace the control board housing without having to replace the control board. Note also that the control board housing comes with a new control overlay label, so you don't need to buy the label like I did. You will need torx screw drivers or torx bit set - two sizes T20 and maybe T15. Start by remove the three metal filters (I replaced mine during this repair as they... Read more

This replacement part is an electronic circuit board for range hoods. A range hood is the metal piece on top of the stove that holds the fan. It functions as a ventilation system to filter and circulate the air, smoke, and heat coming from the stove while cooking. The electronic circuit board controls the main functions of the range hood. Before installing this part, make sure that the range hood is unplugged, or turn off the circuit breaker that goes to the range. The circuit board is located within the chimney above the motor. First, unthread the four screws holding down the circuit board. After the screws are removed, take off the cover. Line up the new circuit board with the old one, and replace the old wires into the correct terminals on the new circuit board. This might require a pair of needle-nose pliers. Once wires have been connected properly, remove the ribbon wire from the old board and place it into the new. Uninstall the old circuit board by removing the screws that secure it. Secure the new circuit board in place of the old by fastening the screws back into their original place. This genuine OEM replacement part is compatible with Bosch, Gaggenau, and Thermador range hoods.
Replaced the Electronic Circuit Board, part number AP2832721, which resolved the problem. It also resolved the issue with the two hood lights that stopped working a few years ago, which I couldn't figure out. Turn off the circuit breaker that feeds the range hood. Remove the three filters, and while they're out, you might as well run them through the dishwasher. Remove the right and left stainless steel stops that prevent the filters from being pushed up into the housing. Two stainless... Read more
