With small gasoline-powered tools that require control panels, this hex screw attaches the panel to the handles of the tools. Machined to be durable, important screws such as these take a real beating. In their locations at critical points on the handle, the hex screws are considered "wear items," and thus periodically, they must be replaced. The control panel itself is often a location of extreme forces, jostling, and abrupt movement in unpredictable directions. The constant movement, with sheet metal rubbing against the hex screws from every direction, make wear inevitable. The manufacturers recommend that spare screws of this type be kept on hand if the heavy use of the equipment is expected. Among the gasoline-powered tools that use these screws are snowblowers, yard tractors, mowers, tiller, chippers, shredders, and other tools requiring hand-maneuvered levers. These screws are compatible with a number of equipment brands and manufacturers, including MTD, Ryobi, Poulan, Yard-Man, Bolens, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines.

This switch spring is part of the safety system used in riding lawnmowers. This spring is located underneath the seat of all riding lawn mowers and lawn tractors. The spring is attached to two electrical contacts and is compressed when the rider is sitting on the seat. If the machine is in motion and the driver stands up or gets off the machine, the switch interrupts the power and stops the mower from moving. If the spring fails to work, it should be replaced in order to operate the mower safely. Over time and due to normal wear and tear, the spring may become warped and need to be replaced. Park the mower on a flat surface and remove the spark plug so that the lawnmower is not powered on. Look underneath the seat and locate the kill switch with a two-wire plug on one end and a round plunger button on top. Grip the wire plugs and pull them away from the switch spring. Install the new switch spring. Reattach the wires and reinstall the spark plugs. This switch spring is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is a silver metal part that is designed for use in lawnmowers manufactured by MTD, Ryobi, Bolens, Yard-Man, Troy-Bilt, Husky, and Cub Cadet.

A new hex screw might be needed if the current one is damaged or missing. It is common that screws may become stripped or loose overtime, causing them to fall out. If any parts of the lawn mower are becoming loose or falling off, the hex screw might be missing. This replacement should be fairly easy and should only require a screwdriver and possibly pliers. This lock washer is used frequently for a number of applications on power yard equipment. The size, 5/16, is the default for many small engine housing and manifold applications. Lock washers are used with machined bolts to fasten engine blocks to the housing of the equipment being used. The compressed washer is able to handle the constant vibration of the small gasoline engine without losing the seal between the screw or bolt and the housing. Typically these lock washers only need to be replaced when they are misplaced during repairs or when the screws that attach them have to be chiseled or cut away, meaning the washers are destroyed as well. These OEM certified replacement washers have been manufactured to the same specifications as the originals they are replacing. In addition to lawn mowers, lock washers of this type and size are frequently used on blowers, lawn tractors, cultivators, snowblowers, and trimmers. Brands compatible with this type of washer are Murray, Husky, Poulan, Bolens, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, MTD, and Ryobi.

This genuine OEM replacement bracket stop seat is for riding lawn mowers or tractors. The part is located underneath the seat on riding mowers or tractors. Its purpose is to provide a safety shut off function when the rider leaves the seat while the blade is engaged. Over time, constant use of the mower can cause wear on the bracket, requiring it to be replaced. If a mower is left in the elements over an extended period of time, the bracket could rust. This would require the bracket to need replacing. Failure to replace a worn or rusted bracket stop seat could cause potential safety hazards as the engine may to fail to shut off if the rider should leave the seat while the blade is engaged. Replacing a bracket stop seat requires a screwdriver to replace. It is a fairly easy repair that should take under 30 minutes to complete. This part serves as a replacement if needed for the original bracket stop seat. This is a simple set of lawnmower ignition keys. They’re also used for an array of riding mowers, lawn tractors, and even snowblowers. To simplify repair and replacement procedures, most manufacturers use standardized keys for all their machines in a given class. As a result, a single key can be used for dozens of machines. The keys are manufactured from stainless steel, with an INDAK logo stamped into the center. Regardless of whether the machine is a walk-behind mower or a full-sized lawn tractor, a keyed ignition is easier to operate than a recoil cord. Similarly, replacing a key is generally straightforward. The exception is if the old key has snapped off in the ignition. In this case, a set of needle-nosed pliers can sometimes be used to extract the key. A powerful magnet can also be helpful if the broken key is being stubborn. In the worst-case scenario, the ignition may need to be replaced. This is an OEM part sourced directly from MTD, and it is sold as a set of two.
Replace a cracked, broken, or non-functioning ammeter gauge on your lawn tractor. Installs on the dashboard to display battery charge levels.
The ignition switch is the part of lawn and garden equipment that features an ignition to turn on and off with a switch. These are common on lawn tractors, as well as some lawn mowers, wood chippers, tillers, and log splitters. While these switches tend to be robust, they may eventually wear out. Some might have a mechanical failure after being used for years. Others might have electrical issues. Regardless of the reason for the failure, they will need to be replaced to continue using the machine. This is a genuine OEM part that is sold individually. It is a complete kit, which will include not only the switch, but also a washer and nut to secure the switch into the housing, and two ignition keys. The ignition switch can work with lawn tractors from brands such as MTD, Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard Machines, and Craftsman.
