This is a DC fan motor designed for the outdoor (condenser) section of a room air conditioner. It drives the fan blade that dissipates heat from the condenser coils to the outside air. Replace this motor if the outdoor fan is not spinning, runs intermittently, makes grinding or buzzing noises, or if the unit is overheating and shutting down due to poor heat dissipation.
