This high-voltage rectifier diode is used in the microwave's high-voltage circuit. It converts AC to DC so the magnetron can produce heat. A failed diode can cause no heat, loud humming, or a blown fuse when starting. What it does:

• Rectifies high-voltage AC to DC to power the magnetron
• Blocks reverse voltage in the HV circuit
• Common failure symptoms can include: runs but doesn't heat; loud hum then shutdown; line fuse blows at startup

• 1 high-voltage diode

• Unplug the microwave and properly discharge the high-voltage capacitor before servicing—dangerous voltage can remain even when unplugged
• Match diode orientation/polarity to the original and ensure a solid chassis ground connection where used
• Route leads and reinstall any clamps/insulators exactly as found; keep wiring clear of sharp edges and hot components
• If the original diode failed, inspect the HV capacitor and transformer for related issues before reassembly
