The Light Bulb (40W) is an OEM component for GE refrigerators. As an essential task lamp, it illuminates the interior of the refrigerator and freezer compartments. 

All light bulbs will eventually burn out with consistent use over many years. Vibration during compressor cycles can also potentially disrupt bulb filaments faster.

This bulb is also compatible with refrigerators from brands like Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
