The door trim is the plastic or metal edging that runs along the perimeter of the appliance door, holding the inner and outer door panels together and giving the door a neat, finished border. It protects the door's edges from chips and moisture. Replace this trim when it is cracked, warped, or has broken clips that cause the door panels to separate or leave a visible gap around the door's edge.
