This listing is for an MTD left-hand lawnmower axle. The axle is a vital component in regard to the steering and movement of a lawnmower. The left-hand axle is also known as the left handle spindle or wheel spindle. These components attach to the wheel of the lawnmower, allowing the drive system to turn the wheel. A damaged axle can seriously affect the lawnmower's ability to move freely. When an axle becomes damaged, the wheels could have issues moving efficiently. If the problem persists, it's possible that the wheel could become permanently disconnected. Begin the installation by turning the mower on its back. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry the axle free from the retaining tabs. Unthread the mounting bolts securing the front axle cover. Unthread the bolts securing the wheel adjustment plate. Repeat these steps in reverse to install the new component.The axle is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from MTD.
