After replacing thermal fuse once and having it fail a second time, I had to dig a little deeper to uncover the problem. I checked for blockage in the vent but everything was clear. I did, however, find that the drum had some up and down play in it. The felt seals sit between the drum and the dryer housing to prevent heated air and lint from escaping the drum cavity.
