This pivot bar is a genuine MTD replacement part for appliances operated by small engines, including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, snowblowers, leaf blowers, and chipper shredders. The pivot bar provides a means of steering the outdoor appliance.A pivot bar might have to be replaced if it suffers damage over time. Although there is not often a need to replace a pivot bar, as it holds up well to general usage and exposure to the elements, a pivot bar might have to be replaced if there is a collision or a traumatic impact as a result of a drop from significant height or onto a particularly hard surface. Additionally, a pivot bar might have to be replaced if there is deterioration in the spindle bushing, thereby exposing the pivot bar to potential damage. If this occurs, a replacement pivot bar part should be ordered and secured to the small engine appliance immediately. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. This pivot bar is compatible with the following brands: MTD, Yard Man, Bolens, and Yard Machines.
