This replacement part is a timing belt. This is a genuine replacement part made by MTD. This part is very important to all types of machinery that operate with engines. The belt connects the engine's crankshaft to the camshaft and allows the pistons to operate properly so that the entire engine runs smoothly. A new timing belt might be needed if the current one is missing or damaged in any way. It is common for belts to become torn or stripped over time and should be replaced if this is the case. If the user notices unusual noises coming from inside the machine it might be due to a malfunctioning timing belt. The engine should be completely shut down and cooled off before attempting to replace this part. This is a genuine OEM replacement part which ensures proper fit. This part is sold individually and is sourced directly from the manufacturer.

This is a flanged lock nut. It’s designed to apply tension, typically on a joint that needs to have a certain amount of flex. As such, it’s mostly used on snowblower chutes and lawnmower handles. They can remain in place, but with a forgiving connection that can take a beating. The nut size is 3/8, with a thread size of 16. A lock nut will generally last for many years. However, the silicone ring inside will wear down if it’s frequently tightened and loosened. It needs to be replaced when it will no longer reliably remain in place. Generally, this begins as a symptom of slight slippage and worsens as time goes on. Thankfully, whether it’s being used on a snowblower or a lawnmower, this nut is generally straightforward to access. Simply unscrew the old nut, then screw the new nut on until it’s nice and tight. Our flanged lock nuts are genuine OEM MTD nuts, and they are sold individually.

This genuine OEM replacement jam nut attaches to the idler bracket on a tiller. Jam nuts are a special type of nut designed to not unthread or strip out over time. Jam nuts are usually fastened on with another standard nut and then the two nuts are tightened against each other. Jam nuts can be easily identified from a standard nut because they are roughly half the size. Jam nuts can be lost while making repairs because of their small size. If lost, it might not affect the idler bracket immediately, but over time the standard nut may begin to slip or unthread. Therefore, the jam nut should be replaced as soon as possible. When making this replacement, be sure to unthread the standard nut as well and then tighten them both together using a wrench. This replacement jam nut is a high-quality part sourced from its original manufacturer. It is compatible with Troy-Bilt, Yard Man, Huskee, MTD, Ryobi, Yard Machines, and Cub Cadet tillers. This part does not ship with any additional hardware.

There are multiple uses for the 5/16-18 Hex Screw. It is often used with small gasoline-powered yard equipment such as lawn and garden machines. While hex screws such as these may be used in edgers and snowblowers, the most frequent use this screw is in yard tractors. This variety of screw is commonly used in attaching the various appendages of gas-powered equipment to a central operating platform. In particular, these hex screws are used to secure the engine block of power tools to the frame or housing of the equipment. Once in place, these fasteners have an almost unbreakable strength to them. This is so much so the case that often, in order to detach the engine manifold and repair the inner workings of an engine, the bolts must be chiseled or cut loose. In such cases, it is necessary for the bolts to be replaced during reassembly. Manufacturers insist that genuine OEM replacement parts be used in the rebuilding process. These replacement parts were manufactured to the same exacting specifications used to make the original screws. These OEM screws are compatible with equipment made and sold by Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Husky, MTD, Bolens, and Yard Machines.
This lock washer is used frequently for a number of applications on power yard equipment. The size, 5/16, is the default for many small engine housing and manifold applications. Lock washers are used with machined bolts to fasten engine blocks to the housing of the equipment being used. The compressed washer is able to handle the constant vibration of the small gasoline engine without losing the seal between the screw or bolt and the housing. Typically these lock washers only need to be replaced when they are misplaced during repairs or when the screws that attach them have to be chiseled or cut away, meaning the washers are destroyed as well. These OEM certified replacement washers have been manufactured to the same specifications as the originals they are replacing. In addition to lawn mowers, lock washers of this type and size are frequently used on blowers, lawn tractors, cultivators, snowblowers, and trimmers. Brands compatible with this type of washer are Murray, Husky, Poulan, Bolens, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, MTD, and Ryobi.
Deck height adjustment gear for lawn tractors and riding mowers. Replaces broken or worn gears that control cutting deck position and leveling.
Cotter pins are simple but very effective fasteners used primarily to hold wheels in place on mowers. This is particularly true of the front wheels on riding mowers. Cotter pins are very light and can become overly pliable after extensive use. In some cases, the front wheels of a mower, which are the guide wheels that steer the device, become difficult to manage. The cure for this situation is often simply the replacement of the cotter pins that are not holding the guide wheels adequately in place. Before attempting to remove the pins, it is essential that the spark plug boot is moved so that the mower cannot be started. This is an important safety step because the repairer will be getting under the mower near the blades. The back wheels should be blocked so the mower cannot move, then the front end placed up on blocks. Remove the mower's hubcaps to gain access to the axle spindles. Straighten the legs of the pin so that when the curved portion of the cotter pin is grasped with pliers and it can be pulled straight back and be removed. The spindle, washers, and wheels should be checked for wear before the new pin is placed and secured. This OEM cotter pin is compatible with Bolens, Yard-Man, Craftsman, Yard Machines, Cub Cadet, Turf King, Troy-Bilt, Huskee, Toro, Ryobi, MTD, MasterCut, Murray, and Montgomery Wards.

Here is a replacement shoulder screw that is commonly used for various types of outdoor power equipment. Another name for the shoulder screw is a shoulder pin. The screw is often used to help secure the plastic wheels to the deck of a machine. However, different machines may have different uses for shoulder screws and other types of hardware. The shoulder screw is made from metal and is durable. However, the pin may still need to be replaced at some point. Whether it is because of corrosion or being bent, it is important to replace a failed screw with a new one. When performing maintenance on the machine, it is also possible that the screw could become lost, which would require a replacement. This is a genuine OEM replacement shoulder screw. A ball bearing is a common type of rolling-element bearing. It will use balls to keep space between the bearing races and eliminate friction and contact between moving parts. Ball bearings used in lawn and garden equipment ensure that axial loads and radial loads are evenly supported and that there is only a limited amount of rotational friction on the component. It distributes weight evenly, but will undergo constant wear and tear from vibration, heat, and friction and will need replacement regularly. This ball bearing is a genuine OEM part suited to use in Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, MTD, Huskee, Yard Machines, Bolens, Mastercut, and Yard-Man equipment. It may be needed for repair work done on a lawnmower, snowblower, tiller, edger, or a log splitter.
This grease fitting attaches to the cast pivot bar on many types of garden and lawn equipment. Sometimes a grease fitting can become worn damaged and need to be replaced. If a lawn tool no longer seems to be properly lubricated, the grease fitting could be the cause. A pair of pliers will be required to make the replacement. Clean the area near the grease fitting and then use a hex wrench to remove it from the machine. Take the new fitting and place it into the hole and tighten it before applying grease. This is a genuine OEM replacement grease fitting that is sourced directly from the manufacturer.
