The burner valve knob is the control knob on your gas range or cooktop that you turn to open the gas valve and ignite a surface burner. It allows you to adjust the flame from a high setting down to a low simmer. Replace this knob if it is cracked, melted, broken, or missing, making it difficult or impossible to control the burner safely.
