This precision thrust race serves as the hardened bearing surface for axial loads in a rotating mechanism. Replacing a worn race reduces friction and noise, helping restore smooth, consistent motion and protect companion thrust bearings and washers from accelerated wear.
- Provides the hardened bearing surface for a thrust bearing assembly
- Supports axial load and helps maintain proper end-play in the mechanism
- Reduces friction to allow smoother rotation under load
- Wear may present as grinding/scraping noises, rough or binding motion, excessive axial play, or visible scoring
What's included: 1 thrust race Installation notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water/gas before servicing
- Access the thrust-bearing area; note the order and orientation of races, bearings, and washers for reassembly
- Clean mating surfaces; replace any worn companion parts and lubricate only if specified by the service documentation
- Seat the new race fully and verify free movement by hand before reassembly and testing

Ram stuck in down position due to bearing going out Cody G. • Conway , AR • July 16, 2020
I bought new thrust races, a drive gear kit, bearings and a sprocket. When the bearing went out, the thrust races, washers, one bottom plate, and a sprocket was eaten up by the the chain due to the slack being created. I followed the video for the Drive Gear Kit repair and everything went together well. I did have to remove the tracks from inside the compactor in order to remove the cardboard liner that "hides" the drive rods. Additionally, be careful to not over-tension the chain when...
