This is a transformer intended for use with kitchen range hoods. This component is part of the power system for the appliance. It is designed to supply low voltage range hood parts like fa controls and lights. If the transformer is damaged or no longer working, the lights may not come on, the fa controls may not work, or various parts may only work part of the time. When the transformer is damaged, it will need to be replaced.When replacing the range hood transformer, make sure the range hood is not connected to power. Wear work gloves to protect the hands and make sure a basic set of tools is available. The range hood can be removed from the wall for easier access to the internal parts. Disassemble the appliance to gain access to the transformer. Take the transformer out and replace it with the new replacement part. Replace the range hood and reconnect the appliance to power before testing.This component is sold as a single part.
