Ronald P Ashtabula , OH July 13, 2014 E 86 error on fridgidare/electrolux dryer Replaced main control board. The actual repair was easy, finding the correct part was the challenge. Part of the model number was missing so the very friendly, and helpful representative checked all the possibilities to insure the new control board was the right one. It arrived in two days using regular shipping and we had the dryer repaired in about 15 minutes. Very positive experience. I needed my husband's assistance to pull the dryer away from the wall and to loosen a couple of the tight screws, but after that he let me have all of the fun. I did take pictures as I went along, just to be safe, and I reference them to ensure that I hadn't turned any of the wire connections around. It probably wasn't necessary, though, since with the exception of the red and black wires there's only one way to re-attach them.
