This chain case assembly is a genuine MTD part, sold individually. This chain case assembly can be used as a replacement part for a tiller. The purpose of the chain case assembly for a tiller is to maintain and regulate the secure placement of the clutch and the compensator in relation to the transmission as well as the fastening components of these parts. The chain case assembly of a tiller might have to eventually be replaced if it can no longer function as usual. If the clutch or the compensator is not working properly, there could be an issue with the overall chain case assembly, in which case the entire assembly should be removed and replaced by this genuine OEM replacement part before using the tiller again. Remember to always wear gloves when handling, repairing, and operating outdoor equipment. Always unplug the appliance before performing any kind of repair or replacement. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. These quality tiller tines are used on a variety of yard tillers. Tiller tines are blades attached to the tiller that turn soil and prep it for cultivating a garden. As the tiller tines are used, they can become worn down, broken, or damaged through use or impact with rocks and other debris. These are C-shaped tines that can cut through dense soil.If the tiller tines are bent, dull, or damaged, they will need to be replaced, otherwise they might till the soil unevenly and may not reach the depth required. To replace the tines, remove the spark plug wire before taking off the tine shield end cover. Taking out the tines requires removing the cotter pin from the clevis pin so the clevis pin can be pulled out. Next, the tines can be pulled directly off of the shaft. Slide on the new tines and reinstall the clevis and cotter pins before using the tiller again. These tiller tines are an authentic OEM replacement part directly sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual part. The tines are compatible with tillers manufactured by MasterCut, Craftsman, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Bolens, Yard Machines, MTD, Huskee, and Montgomery Wards.

Self-tapping hex screw for securing components on lawn mowers, tractors, tillers, and outdoor power equipment. Replace when stripped, missing, or worn.
This hex bolt is a necessary component used in a variety of small to medium sized gasoline powered engines used primarily in yard work, gardening, and landscaping. The primary use of this hex bolt is to secure the idler pulley assembly to the body of the machine. The idler pulley functions to engage the turning mechanism of the yard tool when engaged. The power yard tools that require an idler pulley which would use this screw are tillers, riding mowers, yard tractors, tillers, snow blowers and chippers. Engaging the rotating part of the yard tool places a great deal of resistance on the idler pulley, which may eventually result in it needing to be replaced. When replacing the idler pulley assembly, it's important to remember that the attaching hardware, such as the hex bolt, has also experienced a great deal of wear and should be replaced as well. This hex bolt attaches the idler pulley assembly directly to the machine housing and can be removed with a 9/16 wrench. Make sure when replacing the bolt to use a genuine OEM manufactured part that is identical to the manufacturer's original piece. This bolt is compatible with the following brands: Yard-Man, Bolens, Craftsman, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet, Huskee, Ryobi, Murray, MTD, MasterCut, and Montgomery Wards.
