Luckily this repair was easy to identify and only took about 20 minutes to complete. Removed the knobs and the screws holding the knob plate. unscrewed the burner valve and swapped out with the new part from appliancepartspros. Best part: the part was $34 compared to another site's $93 ( or $83 if you mentioned a competitor site).
