Whirlpool WPW10609579 Dishwasher Upper Rack Height Adjuster OEM Part

Took out 3 torx screws on each side, much of the insides fell out at this point. At this point I had the new part and what was left of the old part and the adjust lever. Screwed them back together and that was that. The new support piece was not needed.

Removed rack and replaced adjusters. Easy repair only need torx screwdriver. Remove three screws on both adjusters. Take cover off and replace adjuster. Just make sure spring and lever are in place. Only takes a few minutes per side.

The adjuster I received worked perfectly.

Ordered part for both sides which company had. Arrived and installed.

We have owned our current dishwasher about 5 years. It is a Maytag. Overall, we have been pleased with the unit. A few days, my wife opened the dishwasher and pulled the top rack forward and the Top Rack Slides (I now know them to be the "Adjusters", failed on both sides. The part is a metal piece with plastic bonded to the top portion. The plastic portion is the way the unit adjusts the rack height. The plastic simply disintegrated!. No indication of abuse or heavy use. It's just the 2 of us. Anyway. using the AppliancePartsPros.com website, I quickly identified the correct parts. And got them ordered. I paid for next-day delivery. The parts arrived and fit perfectly. The replacement was pretty easy.
