Description

This agitator is the vertical post in your top-load washer that moves clothes through the wash water. Replacing a worn or stripped agitator restores proper wash action and helps improve overall cleaning performance.

• Transfers motion from the drive shaft to roll and move laundry through the tub
• Circulates water and detergent for effective soil removal
• Maintains load turnover during the wash cycle

• Disconnect power and water; use caution around sharp cabinet edges
• Remove the agitator cap and retaining fastener; lift the agitator straight up
• Align the splines on the new agitator with the drive shaft, seat fully, and reinstall the fastener and cap
• Run a short wash to ensure smooth operation and no unusual noises
