The Wash Plate is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. Located inside the washer tub, the wash plate works with the agitator to gently push clothes up and down in the water during the wash cycle.
Due to the force of the agitator rubbing against clothes, wash plates can wear down over time and use. Microscopic cracks or chips in the plastic material allow contaminants to lodge underneath and cause abnormal vibrations and noises.
