Description

The shut-off arm is the lever that tells the ice maker when to stop and start making ice. Replace a bent, missing, or jammed arm to restore proper ice production control and prevent bin overfilling. What it does:
  • Lowers to allow ice production; raises to stop cycles when the bin is full (down = on, up = off)
  • Helps prevent overfilling, spills, and auger jams
  • Common symptoms: ice maker won't stop making ice, no ice when the arm is stuck up, inconsistent ice production from misalignment
  • Restores proper ice level sensing when the original lever is damaged or missing

  • One shut-off arm
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off water before servicing
  • Remove the ice bin to access the ice maker
  • Seat the arm's pivot ends fully in the ice maker head; avoid bending the lever
  • The arm moves freely up/down and clears the bin before restoring power
