Thomas P Billings , MT November 23, 2014 Ice maker not functioning I replaced the ice maker and valve first but it turned out to be the wire harness. The replacement harness was better than the original which had a tight fit with the replacement ice maker. The new harness installed in minutes and solved the problem. I would have benefitted from using a volt meter originally to diagnose the problem earlier though. Thanks for having the product in stock with prompt shipping! Kenneth P Castaic , CA December 16, 2014 Appliance: Model AMANA 20 The amana refrigator ice maker was having a difficult time making ice Replaced the icemaker unit with a new unit. from ApplianceParts Pros. The replacement unit came with no cover or wiring harness with the expectation that the these items can be transferred from the old unit. The old unit's cover, wiring harness and shutoff arm could not be transferred. My Amana refrigerator is over 25 years old and the those items have been changed in the new unit. The other problem was the refrigerator did not have a model number plaque anywhere, therefore I had to do a search for the right parts to complete the repair. After two additional orders, I finally got the right parts and the ice maker is again producing ice "quietly".
