Andrew T Oshkosh , WI January 16, 2015 Appliance: KitchenAid 30" Free Standing Electric Oven Convection KERK807PSS02 The off button didn't work Unplugged the stove. I had to remove mounting screws from under front panel. Then Remove the side panels in order to remove the trim. Under the trim there are two gold screws that hold the front panel in place. Unplug the membrane switch and remove the 4 screws that hold it in place. mount the new membrane switch and use plug it in. Then replaced all screws. Plugged stove back in. It took me about 45 minutes to find the final screws hidden under the trim under the side panel. Also make sure to have the different size screwdrivers, the screws are very delicate and strip easily. Jose J Hillsdale , NJ November 22, 2015 Kitchenaid off button not working Off button does not beep. Off button does not work. Bought part AP3851195 (Switch, membrane) from appliancepartspros.com Needed to remove about 8 screws from underside of top panel after opening oven door. Maybe because of time or frozen grease, I could not remove the panel, but was able to swing it up and replace the membrane switch from below. It took about 1 hour but really there is nothing to it. Remove screws, replace switch. Used scotch tape to hold plastic insulator after it fell down behind the membrane. Off button works after replacement of membrane. Jeremy V Otto , NC March 20, 2016 Off button wouldn't turn the oven off Had to order this new control panel (membrane). The fix isn't terribly difficult. I removed the screws holding the front "fascia" or whatever in place, then removed a side panel of the stove. This gave me the access i needed to get to the plug and digital display. I guess i spent an hour total on the swap, and i'll admit i'm not a very handy person. Someone who's mechanically inclined would do this much quicker than i. Novices don't be intimidated - it's not hard. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers
