Crystal W Drakes Branch , VA December 13, 2015 Appliance: Model MODEL KERAZ05PWH3 Oven would not shut off We had resorted to unplugging the stove each time we used the oven. It was not only dangerous, but also hard on my old knees having to kneel behind the stove. We had been doing this for nearly two years because the part is expensive, but I asked for the part for Christmas this year and even though we really couldn't afford it, we went ahead and bought it. The part came in and my youngest son (20 years old) unplugged the stove, took the back off of the top of the stove (4 screws) and unplugged the old membrane switch and unscrewed the control box (4 screws) and carefully pulled the control box back, there is a plastic cover between the membrane and the control box that you have to be careful to grab. With a small pair of pliers, he carefully straightened the tabs that hold the old membrane switch in place and pulled out the old membrane switch. The new membrane switch went in, tabs were bent out to hold in place, plastic cover is held at top while tilting the box from the bottom up against the cover to hold into place. Screws are replaced on the control box, membrane switch is plugged in, and the back cover of the top of the stove is replaced and screws are replaced. It was a simple repair. It is so nice not to have to unplug the stove to turn off the oven. Thanks Appliance Parts Pros for having the part.
