Description

This is a dishwasher circulation pump. The circulation pump is located inside the dishwasher and includes an impeller and a motor. The purpose of the circulation pump is to provide a means for water to be forced into and out of the wash arms. If this part is damaged or faulty, the dishwasher may not clean properly or may make much more noise than is expected.The first step to replace the circulation pump is turning off the water supply and electrical power to the appliance. Take off the spray arms before removing the toe panel and bottom access panel. Pull the dishwasher away from the wall before removing the drain pump. Use a towel to catch any water. Next, remove the circulation pump and the motor assembly. Transfer the small parts to the replacement part and install it into the dishwasher.
