Tim C Hubert , NC April 21, 2020 Appliance: Model KDTE704DSSO Lower basket l & r track repair The lower basket L& R track bearing brackets on my KitchenAid dishwasher (KDTE704DSSO) finally gave out (ball bearings everywhere) after (6) years of daily, family use. The service techs provided me with all the information I needed to successfully and quickly complete my project. My parts were mailed to me very quickly and my dishwasher was up and running in short order. The parts were clean and in perfect working condition. (After pulling your dishwasher out, there are two sets of screws on both sides of the washer that correlate with the tracks inside. Simply unscrew the 4 screws and pop the tracks off, its as simple as it gets. The new tracks are complete with new bearing brackets and bearings, they run as smooth as silk, brand new. Simply pop them on (after cleaning the area inside with clean cloth) and replace the screws on both sides. If this is your first time puling this exact dishwasher out from beneath the counter, there is noise reducing fabric, (looks like white cotton) attached to the outside of the washer. DO NOT REMOVE this noise reducing fabric! This fabric is why this dishwasher is so quiet. Just remove enough of the fabric to install the screws, then push it back over and then tuck the fabric back in carefully while you're pushing the washer back under the counter.) Any questions you have about your parts can be answered quickly by the techs once you've joined them in the live chat. Any other problems we encountered were quickly and professionally resolved. One very helpful feature is that you can save your conversations and refer back to details you might not have handy later, (part #'s etc.). Everyone I've been in contact with at Appliancepartspros.com has been very professional and helpful and the online Chat service techs were outstanding in every respect. This was my first time using AppliancePartsPros.com and I will be returning here for any other appliance needs I may need, great service and parts! I highly recommend them! Kathleen S Sparta , MI August 24, 2015 The silverware basket on my 2 year old kitchenaid dishwasher was poorly designed I love my dishwasher, but have never liked the dishwasher basket. It has the dividers to hold the separate items, but were set on flimsy plastic pins that would push through to the whole top would collapse. I noticed in the newer models, the basket was completely redesigned with a sturdy top. I went online to see if I could order a replacement basket. No luck on the KitchenAid site, but found it on AppliancePartsPRO.com. It also had a handy tool to use to see if the part you wanted was compatible with your model. It was! I ordered it and had it within 2 days. Fits perfectly and it such an improvement over the original. Ralph D Blauvelt , NY January 03, 2016 Poorly desiged kitchen aid dishwasher silverware basket The original silverware basket supplied with my Kitchen-aid dishwasher was a masterpiece of a non functioning design. Replaced original basket with the "Basket-War" unit and all the problems associated with the original basket disappeared. The "Basket-War" fit perfectly in the my Kitchen-aid-dishwasher and the installation was just a matter of lifting out the original basket and setting the "Basket-War in the same place as the original basket.
