I looked on Appliancepartspros.com, it helped me diagnose the problem, told me what parts to buy and showed me a video of how to fix it. Therefore I saved $150 by not having to call a repair shop.

Replaced idler pulley and belt. Works like new. Thanks.

I replaced the support rollers, idler pulley, and belt. The repair was fairly straight forward, except for getting the top of the console removed. After spending an hour trying to figure out how to interpret the instructions, I called them and was quickly given step by step guidance to get the part removed. From that point on the repair was very straight forward. The machine sounds just like new! Well worth the time and money to DIY.

Repair requires complete removal of front panels and drum to access all parts. Only needed to replace idler bracket, but, replaced all 4 rollers and belt since it was torn down to that level. Used 6.5mm and 10mm sockets, Phillips screwdriver and T25 bit. Small flathead helps with removal of roller retainers.

Took the whole dryer apart to access the wheels (4) of them, belt and fan wheel, also had to clean all the lint out that somehow builds up inside the dryer. Plus cleaned out dryer duct vent, added to the time involved. If you are planning on fixing the dryer because of a noise which was in my case, I highly recommend buy all the parts for complete maintenance mentioned above. What helped save me time?
