Darrell H Largo , MD December 19, 2014 Appliance: Amana Top Loading Washer LW8203L2 Loud noise First i had to remove the belt from the drum pulley. i had to actually remove the motor from the washing machine. carefully remove the two water hoses attached to the pump...have a towel ready...there will be a few cups of water left in the hoses. remove spring from tension pulley then remove the pump that was attached to the motor. you will need a set of hex keys to remove the pump. then you can remove the belt from the drive pulley. reinstalled new belt around drive pulley and reinstalled washer pump, reattach spring to tension pulley. installed the motor back into the machine, attached belt to the drum pulley before you tighten down the motor and reattached both water hoses.....your all done. very easy. Mark H York , PA October 27, 2015 Appliance: Model PAWM573W2 Tub was spinning during wash cycle causing water to overflow tub belt had dryrot cracking bad Unplugged washer and removed front access panel; removed plug from motor. Removed 4 screws holding the motor/pump assembly in place and moved gently out of the way. Used small wrench to remove screws holding the brake pads and removed the pads (pads fit snug in the expandable pulley groove, but can be removed with patience). Lubricated the pads as stated in info sheet included and used small wedges inserted in the pulley to hold the pulley open enough to insert the pads (start with rearmost pad first in reassembly). Reinstalled all pads and screws. Carefully removed 3 screws and separated the pump from motor (hoses were connected @ this time but may have been removed to make more room/need towels to catch water from pump), installed new belt and reassembled motor to washer. Ran thru wash cycle with no soap and check for leaks and operation. Reinstall front cover. (DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN LOWER WASHER AREA WHEN RUNNIN WITH FRONT PANEL OFF TO RECHECK FOR LEAKS!!) Very tight working area during the job, but can be done. Lewis M Tiverton , RI June 27, 2014 Appliance: Model AMANA LW8203W2B Drive belt was breaking causing loud clunking noise New belt. Found good instructions on line. Separating the pump from the motor was extremely difficult. Had to use two large screwdrivers by driving with hammer blows between motor pulley and pump casing. (Like pulling off a bearing) Surprising since drive socket on pump was plastic. Steven H Harleysville , PA June 15, 2015 Appliance: Amana Top Loading Washer NA8631 My pump belt broke This was a very easy fix. Two screws to get the front off of the washer. Removed one side of the tensioner spring. Loosened two screws for the motor and two screws for the pump. I decided to replace the agitate belt even though it wasn't broken.. So, I removed that belt from the pulleys and the removed the broken belt. then just reversed the process to install the belts. it toke me less than 30 minutes and my washer was back in service. Jane S Valatie , NY January 03, 2015 My washing machine belt wore out This is a 1988 Speed Queen washer. It needed a new belt. This is its 2nd repair ever, the first being the same belt needing to be replaced probably 10 years ago. It has never needed any other kind of repair and I am never going to get rid of it. Thankfully the husband is a good mechanic and everything in the machine is accessible from the front (not the easiest to reach sometimes but we didn't have to pull the motor to make the repair). Had a terrific experience dealing with Appliancepartspros who made sure I got the right belt, which arrived promptly on the day promised. Live Chat Kenneth was A-1 +++ thank you Bud!!! for coming to my rescue. We were THRILLED to find out we were dealing with a good USA company and parts. The icing on the cake was Local appliance repairman did not have this belt in stock and it would take a week to get and would cost more than we could buy from Appliancepartspros. Then we would have to pay him to come and install it ! We saved a bunch of money doing it ourselves. We are keeping this website on file for future orders !!!!! and recommending to friends.
