This belt restrainer is the small guide that keeps the dryer's drive belt on the motor pulley. It prevents the belt from walking off during operation, supporting consistent drum rotation and reducing premature belt wear. What it does:

Install notes:

• Disconnect power; for gas dryers, also shut off the gas supply
• Access the motor area per your model (remove front or lower access panel)

• Hand-rotate the drum to confirm alignment before reassembly and testing
