Kevin E Aurora , OH July 01, 2022 Appliance: Whirlpool Gas Dryer WGD8200YW1 The machine was making a loud “chirping” sound and taking a long time to dry cloths I purchased a repair kit recommended for the noise issue which included a belt that did not fit my dryer. So I also purchased a drum belt specifically for my Dryer which was still cheaper than purchasing the parts individually. The repair was easy (the hardest part was compressing the metal clips that held the top on (the video wasn’t very descriptive). Replaced the drum rollers, drum belt and drum belt idler pulley (which, I believe was the part making the noise). Putting the machine back together, I noticed the front drum seal was bad and ordered an new one which came in two days. Again, the repair was quite simple. Put the machine back together and it works fine. No noise and the drying time was reduced by the seal replacement. If I had ordered the drum seal at the same time as the rest of the parts, the repair would have taken about 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Timothy P Elizabethton , TN October 25, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool Electric Dryer WED7300XW0 Tensioner pulley was squealing First ordered and installed new pulley. Greased it. Bad idea. Grease caused new pulley to melt down taking belt with it. Ordered a kit with new pulley, new drum rollers and belt, along with another belt as the one in the kit doesn't fit my dryer. Kit has a belt for the 27 inch dryer and mine is the 29 inch. Cleaned all shafts with alcohol. Installed all new parts and now you can't even hear my dyer running is so quiet. Thanks for giving me genuine Whirlpool parts at such a reasonable price. Replaced everything for 81.10 including shipping. Read More...
