Forest W Traverse City , MI November 12, 2022 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MFI2269VEA10 The refrigerator stopped cooling and front panel was blank. The water and ice wouldn't dispense. The interior lights still worked A relay in my refrigerator would periodically click off, causing the compressor motor to stop and the LEDs on the front panel to turn off. This became more frequent until it finally "blanked out" permanently. No cooling, no lights on the front panel, no water or ice, only the inside lights worked. Isolating the problem to the control board was easy, and replacing the control board was very easy thanks to the videos and previous customer reports available here. After installing the board, I the LEDs on the front panel showed "PE0 000" and I couldn't get the refrigerator to cool. After some research online, I found a video that showed how to program the control board to match my specific refrigerator model. The steps are summarized below: 1. To enter programming mode, press and hold 'temp alarm'. 2. While holding 'temp alarm', press and hold 'freezer temp down' (about 3 sec). 3. Release 'temp alarm'. 4. Release 'freezer temp down' after about 3 sec. 5. Press 'freezer temp down' again and hold for about 3 sec, then release. 6. You should now be able to enter the refrigerator code. The code is on the placard inside the refrigerator by the model number. My code was 1720, yours may or may not be the same. 7. Enter the code using 'freezer temp up' and 'refrigerator temp up' buttons. 'freezer temp up' selects the digit, and 'refrigerator temp up' changes the value of the digit. The decimal point moves to let you know which digit you are changing. 8. After entering your code, press and hold 'freezer temp down' for about 3 sec. 9. Press any button again, and the refrigerator should be in the normal operating mode. Ken A Fairfield , IA May 01, 2023 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MFI2569VEB2 Amana side by side w/bottom freezer won't run. After several attempts to diagnose the problem, including testing outlet power and testing the motor start/run capacitor. I then contacted AppliancePartsPros.com chat room. Again they walked me through several basic tests and questions. They then ask me if I was getting power to the compressor from the control board. Having not tested that particular item I was asked to check that and get back to the consultant I was working with. I proceeded to perform the test required to answer the consultant's question. When I plugged the appliance in and tested the connection for power to the compressor, there was no power. Upon reporting that information to the chat room consultant, she immediately responded that I needed to replace my circuit board. She gave me the correct part # and the cost, which by the way would be at a cost of nearly $500.00 as well as informing me that they had that part in stock. Now I have to admit that when you are told by someone, that you can't even see, that you need to spend $500.00 and according to your diagnosis that will repair your refrigerator, I was, to say the least skeptical. After some discussion with my wife and serious consideration, we opted to order the circuit board at a cost of $500.00. I might add that this was all taking place on a Saturday which is amazing in itself that AppliancePartsPro's chat room was available to assist me with my diagnosis. Upon receiving our new circuit board, by the middle of the next week, Wednesday to be exact, I immediately went back to AppliancePartsPros for proper instructions to install it. Their instructions were very precise and clear and it was very easy to install. With those instructions I was able to program my new circuit board to my refrigerator and the rest is history. Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com for being there and assisting me with the complete restoration of my refrigerator!
