Description

This black brush holder cap threads into the motor's brush holder to secure the carbon brush and spring. Replace a cracked, stripped, or missing cap to protect the brush assembly and help maintain reliable motor operation. What it does:

• Retains and covers the carbon brush and spring inside the brush holder
• Threads in to provide access for routine brush service
• Helps maintain stable brush contact and reduce intermittent operation from a loose or missing cap
• Typical symptoms: cap is cracked/missing, won't tighten, or the unit runs intermittently after brush service

Install notes:

• Disconnect power before servicing
• Use a flat-blade screwdriver or coin to remove the old cap
• Inspect brush length and seating; install the brush in the same orientation as removed, then hand-tighten the cap—do not overtighten
• If brushes are worn, replace both brushes as a pair for best results
