Whirlpool WP99003083 Wash Arm Cap (Spray Arm Retainer) OEM Part

I ordered a new rubber door seal for around door, new bottom door seal and spinner impeller and nut to hold on bottom arm as it looked weak. Everything worked great except bottom door seal which looks slightly different and would NOT stay on. I ended up putting back on the old one. Door doesnt leak but not sure it would even be worth it sending part back as I already tossed bag out. Other parts worked great and DW cleaning better.

I checked the power coming in to the unit and checked the door switch with a meter and found that both were OK. I figured it must be the main power board or the control panel. I researched the problem on-line and found that it was a little more likely that it was the control panel and not the board. I ordered the panel from appliance parts pros and replaced it within 30 minutes. The machine took about 5 minutes (longer than normal) to start up but has been working fine ever since. I also realized that this unit requires maintenance as I also found the bottom spray arm was not working properly. In addition, the accumulator filter had to be replaced since some of the film material was not secure. So the pump was basically pumping particulates back on to the dishes and leaving a film.

Wet vacuumed to clean and remove water. Replaced broken impeller, lower wash arm and minor associated parts. Washer is working well after repair! Thanks for your fast service!!!!!

I replaced the wash arm and wash arm cap.

First, we called a repairman who could not come for a week. He quoted $300.00 for the trip, cost of parts plus the repair. I read the comments made on this site and found it hard to believe the statements from people saying how easy this repair job is. I decided to trust the people and ordered the parts and made the repair myself. It took me one minute to fix the problem. All those comment were right target, Thanks, Ed
