Robert S Agoura , CA December 30, 2014 Front load washer leaking from door Followed your video instructions. It was invaluable. The toughest part was getting the seal on the back of the drum. Your technician made it look very easy. Once that was on, the rest was pretty easy. The control panel on my Whirlpool Duet washer had a holding screw at the bottom center of it. It wasn't shown in the video, but it was easy to figure out. If you are changing the boot, change the clamp as well. Eric J Williamsburg , MA January 08, 2022 My Maytag front load washer door bellow seal leaking. First of all, I had to diagnose where the puddle of water had come from. I took off the top panel, and the bottom panel under the front so I could check all hose connections. After finding all clamps and hoses in working order, I ran a test cycle with the panels off. Shortly into the cycle, I observed water dripping from the bottom of the washer door indicating a bad seal. I ordered the parts, received them within 4 days, and set about making the repair. It was pretty easy over all, the video tutorial was a big help, however, there was a discrepancy with taking off the control panel. The model in the tutorial had a screw holding the bottom of the control panel to the front panel, mine did not, it was a plastic spring tab instead. So, to remove the panel, I had to tilt the top of the panel forward to disengage the plastic tab. Not a big deal, just took a couple of minutes to figure out. It's all back together, working fine, no leak. Because the washer is 10ish years old, I opted to get new clamps for the bellow seal as well, a good thing. The spring clamp that holds the seal to the front panel was pretty stretched out, and may have caused issues had I re-used it. This is not my first time using ApplianceParts Pros, and I'm certain it won't be my last. The video tutorials are a big bonus for DIYers like me. Steven C Nash , TX March 12, 2022 Appliance: Model WFW-8300-SW00 Had 2 issue 1 drain pump would growl when working 2 front door seal leaked Ordered the drain pump and front seal with both inner and outer clamps. If you haven’t watched the videos, then take the time to do so. They’re worth their weight in gold. Both jobs are not too bad. The seal replacement is by far the more difficult but can be done if you take your time to properly seat the seal and have someone help with the spring clamp seal. I say it took me overall about an hour to do both jobs.
