Kelly M Willowick , OH March 14, 2023 Inner metal ring clamp kept popping off the bellow caused leaking from machine. First I tried to just put the bellow back over the lip and re-secure the inner metal ring clamp. That worked and stayed on - but when draining and spinning popped off again. I replaced the entire bellow and inner metal ring clamp this time. My old drum bellow liner was over 16 years old - NO holes or tears, just really worn down and out. So, I replaced the entire system. I am a single 43-year-old mom and was able to do this on my own. It did take me over 3 hours though. I had a really really hard time getting both the inner metal ring clamp back on and the spring metal ring clamp on at the end...but I finally did it. No leaking and stayed on during spin and drain cycles! Important to have the holes of the bellow at the bottom so it can drain. Eric J Williamsburg , MA January 08, 2022 My Maytag front load washer door bellow seal leaking. First of all, I had to diagnose where the puddle of water had come from. I took off the top panel, and the bottom panel under the front so I could check all hose connections. After finding all clamps and hoses in working order, I ran a test cycle with the panels off. Shortly into the cycle, I observed water dripping from the bottom of the washer door indicating a bad seal. I ordered the parts, received them within 4 days, and set about making the repair. It was pretty easy over all, the video tutorial was a big help, however, there was a discrepancy with taking off the control panel. The model in the tutorial had a screw holding the bottom of the control panel to the front panel, mine did not, it was a plastic spring tab instead. So, to remove the panel, I had to tilt the top of the panel forward to disengage the plastic tab. Not a big deal, just took a couple of minutes to figure out. It's all back together, working fine, no leak. Because the washer is 10ish years old, I opted to get new clamps for the bellow seal as well, a good thing. The spring clamp that holds the seal to the front panel was pretty stretched out, and may have caused issues had I re-used it. This is not my first time using ApplianceParts Pros, and I'm certain it won't be my last. The video tutorials are a big bonus for DIYers like me.
