The fix was straight forward ...unscrewed the hinge from the dryer then from the door and replaced with new hinge and the door closes the way it should. After 3 service guys came out on 3 occasions and changed the latches (probably because that's what they had in their truck) I finally figured out the hinge was loose/not aligned well. I used an exploded diagram of my dryer door to figure out which screws to remove to take the door off & replace the latches again (after all - why not), and replace the hinge. Dryer works great now!
