How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6019236 / WPW10310366 Door Hinge

Removed the assembly, installed replacement, repairs made. 

Installed new hinge 

After 3 service guys came out on 3 occasions and changed the latches (probably because that's what they had in their truck) I finally figured out the hinge was loose/not aligned well. I used an exploded diagram of my dryer door to figure out which screws to remove to take the door off & replace the latches again (after all - why not), and replace the hinge. Dryer works great now! 

With the assistance from our neighbor, we installed it. It was a bit tricky. The door with the new hinge works beautifully. You needed two people to do this repair. 

I replaced it with a new hinge.

I ordered this OEM door hinge and the latch kit. Then watched the videos regarding installation of both. Hinge was pretty straightforward but latch replacement would have been tricky without tips from it. Door now closes nice and tight and works properly. I should be good now for another 18 years ! Lol ! 

We had to remove the old hinge and replace it with the new Whirlpool part. 

I replaced the hinge and it works perfectly. 

Replaced hinge following videos and instructions on site. Was straightening and easy.
