Description

This refrigerator compressor is the heart of the sealed cooling system. It compresses and circulates refrigerant so the fresh food and freezer sections reach and maintain set temperatures, restoring cooling performance when the original unit has failed.

• Compresses and moves refrigerant through the evaporator and condenser to remove heat from the cabinet
• Restores cooling when a failed or seized compressor is the cause of no-cool/weak-cool conditions
• Symptoms include a warm refrigerator or freezer, extended run time with little cooling
• Clicking or humming from the compressor area with no start, or overheating and cycling on overload

What's included: Compressor only. Install notes:

• Sealed-system service requires EPA Section 608 certification, recovery equipment, brazing, deep vacuum, and precise recharging
• Disconnect power and properly recover refrigerant before opening the system; replace the filter-drier, braze with nitrogen purge, leak-test, evacuate, then charge to the specification on the model's data plate
• Transfer any model-specific grommets, brackets, tubing, and external inverter/start components from the original unit or replace as directed in the service manual
