Stewart M Kailua Kona , HI June 12, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Washer- Horizontal Axis MAH5500BWW Have to press start button several times for machine to start Thought it was start switch. But decided to try this first because I read a post from someone who had the same problem. Order this panel, came in very quickly, I live in HI. Changed the panel. Had to do a little trimming of plastic in the rear of panel. Plugged it in and the first push of start button machine started. All you need to change this panel is a 1/4 inch socket or a start blade screwdriver. Checked level of my machine when I pushed it back in. It was off so a adjusted feet. This is the best washer we have ever owned. The motor in this unit had a 7 year warranty. Than with help and reassurance from appliance prosi tried the controller membrane it works fine 1 1/2 years ago I installed a new seal and new tub bearings. Saved tons by doing the repairs myself.
