Dennis S Elk Mound , WI February 14, 2015 Appliance: Model JDS9860AWW F1 8 fault code needed new control panel Part arrived in three days. Four screws accessed under panel, two on each end of panel. Removed four screws behind burner knobs. Control panel tips out fairly easy. Electronics module held in place with four small screws easy to access. Wire ribbon connection pulls out easy just be sure to pry black retainer aside slightly exposing little tabs that lock ribbon secure. Everything gets replaced in reverse pretty darned easy job. Sharon M Canton , MA August 19, 2016 Many button didn't work on control pad including cancel button so no way to turn off oven Ordered control panel. There's a strip that connects the control buttons to the mother board. Just push the black tab out if the holes on the old strip and gently pull strip out. Then insert new strip, pushing in far enough for tabs to go through the holes. Reconnect mother board to control panel and put control panel back on stove. Dennis P San Diego , CA November 04, 2015 Appliance: Jenn-Air Range-S/C S/I Gas & Elec Duel Fuel JDS9860AAW Defective key pad oven not able to bake etc Replaced the Control Panel Asembly as suggested. Not too difficult to take old one out with several screws/nuts to remove. Only difficult part is taking the circuit ribbon out of the plastic socket - you must carefully use a flat head screw driver and delicately push the top plastic bracket backwards until it opens to allow the ribbon to be pulled out. Then just reverse the process and snap the bracket back in place once you have put the new ribbon into the socket. Stove now works like a champ.
