This mechanical temperature control thermostat senses cabinet temperature and switches the cooling system on and off to maintain your setting. Replacing a worn control restores consistent, reliable temperature regulation. What it does

• Senses cabinet temperature and opens/closes contacts to cycle the cooling system
• Maintains the target temperature set by the control knob
• Helps prevent over-cooling (unit runs constantly) or warm conditions (won't cycle on)
• Common symptoms: unit runs nonstop, won't start/cycle, wide temperature swings, or no response when turning the control

Install notes

• Disconnect power before servicing
• Note the original routing and placement of the sensing bulb/capillary; reinstall in the same location and do not kink or sharply bend the tube
• Transfer any mounting bracket, clips, or knob from the original control if required
• After installation, set to a mid setting and allow up to 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize
