Catherine P Southampton , PA August 05, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Upright Freezer MQF1656TEW02 Frost on the liner at the lower back and warm temp Replaced the defrost timer. It was not located where the parts explode suggested in the thermostat control box which is located in the upper right corner of the liner. It was in fact outside the freezer compartment on the back lower left support (when looking at the back of the freezer). It is secured with 2 sheet metal screws with a 1/4 hex head. The manual override dial is visible through a punched hole in that support. Just remove the 2 screws, disconnect the electrical connector. Then reverse the procedure to install the new timer. David L Sugarloaf , PA October 24, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Upright Freezer EV160NZTQ02 Freezer was not holding temp and frosting up I replaced the defrost timer. The hardest part was finding the timer itself. Diagram shows it inside the freezer in the control box by thermostat however it was not. Called Appliance parts pros and a nice young lady looked up my model and gave me more options on where to look for it. It ended up looking at the back of the freezer on the bottom left side of freezer tucked away. Appliance parts was amazing- ordered part late morning one day and received it early afternoon the next day. I would recommend Appliance Parts Pros!
